Yesterday, the General Assembly of Euskorpora was held in Donostia, with the participation of all the association’s members. As part of the event, participants had the opportunity to visit the offices and key storage infrastructures, which are essential for the development and sustainability of the project. The meeting served to present the progress made over the past four months, both in terms of organizational improvements and in content collection, the signing of new collaboration agreements, and the creation of digital corpora.

The main items addressed during the assembly included: the approval of the minutes from the previous meeting, the presentation of the most significant progress achieved, the approval of the annual accounts for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2024, and the management of the Executive Board. Additionally, the activity plan and budget for the 2026 fiscal year were discussed, and the creation of an International Advisory Committee was approved.

The assembly also welcomed three new members to Euskorpora: the University of Deusto, Laboral Kutxa, and BBVA. We extend our thanks to all of them for their commitment and involvement. The meeting once again highlighted the dynamism of the initiative and the key role of all stakeholders in tackling the challenges ahead.

Currently, Euskorpora brings together a diverse network of public and private entities committed to promoting the Basque language and advancing technological development around it. Among its members are leading organizations such as Vicomtech, EREIL Technologies SL, TREBE Language Technologies, Euskaltzaindia, the Basque Government, Baleuko, MIXER, EiTB, CAF, Petronor, Euskaltel Foundation, Iberdrola, Kutxabank, Mondragon, PWC, UPV/EHU, Logikaline, the University of Deusto, Laboral Kutxa, and BBVA. The collaboration of all these members strengthens the solidity of the project and enhances its ability to tackle the strategic challenges involved in building linguistic infrastructures in Basque.
